Number of Cameras required will decide how many channel NVR is needed. This means 8 CCTV will require 8 Channel Survillance DVR or NVR
There are 2 types NVRs -Standard and Standalone. Standalone NVRs are usually used at homes and small businesses, where network administration need is minimum. These come wth POE switch to deliver both data and power over a single ethernet cable.
Standard NVRs are suitable for medium to large business. It requires network administration. It is economical as it does not has POE switch. You need to get POE switch for this seperately.
